Information To Help
Please follow these basic guidelines in order to maintain a positive relationship with us, your neighbors, and the rest of the community.
• Report any sick or injured cats to us as quickly as possible.
• Follow basic feeding instructions....Don’t feed cats off the ground, use clean bowls/plates and never leave trash.
• Keep your feeding areas clean.
• Maintain shelters. We will have guidelines on what shelters are appropriate. Please do not post up tarps, old pallets, or carpeting. The area should look kept and not cause mold, termites, or trash left behind.
• If you receive food from us, keep a log of feedings and an estimate of how much you're feeding each time. [This will help us keep track of what the cats need each month]
• As a caregiver in Santa Rosa County, you agree that should a cat test positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) or Feline Aids (FIV), the cat/cats will not be returned to the outdoors. You CAN opt to take in an FIV+ cat. If you choose to do so, you are guaranteeing the cat will be an indoor ONLY cat, whether it be by rescue or personal ownership. If the cat is completely feral (wild) then this is not an option.
