Modoc Cat Stats is a confidential online system for registering community cat colonies. It is administered by the Modoc Feline Humane Society, your local Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) resource. If you are feeding an outside cat colony in Modoc County you can create your own free, confidential account. You can then enter the information about the cats with this easy to use system. With your help, we can improve our TNR Program, track our impact, obtain funding, stay in touch with you and most important – protect the cats!

 Barn cats recipients (per cat)        $50
 
Modoc Veterinary Center gives a discount and Modoc Feline Humane Society holds fundraisers in order to provide these discounted services to low income families.

We recognize that not everyone can afford these suggested donations. We want to help you, but ask that you seriously consider a smaller donation so our volunteers can continue to help the community.

Our Services & Suggested Donations

Community cat

The services we offer are:

 

* A community cat Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) Program - Surgeries are done once per month at Modoc Veterinary Center (MVC.) We do not have the capacity to accept dropped off cats outside of this monthly event.

 

MVC provides a discount to reduce the cost charged to us. It costs an average of $120 per cat to be sterilized, vaccinated, minor injuries and ears mites treated if necessary and an ear tipped while under anesthesia. Please consider a donation to help offset this cost.

 

* Low cost Community Cat Vouchers - The suggested donation for vouchers is $30 and with this do-it-yourself program, you trap and take the cat to the veterinarian yourself. We also have humane traps to loan if you need them. A $10 cleaning deposit required for each trap.

 

You can arrange to purchase the vouchers or borrow a trap by calling Betty at 530 708-0028.

 

We understand that it may be difficult for some folks to contribute the suggested donation amounts, especially when faced with a large number of cats that need fixing. We will work with you to figure out a workable plan. Please understand we are a nonprofit organization operating on a shoe string. A donation of any amount within your capabilities helps to keep our all-volunteer organization solvent and have the ability to continue to serve doing this work.
